This is the first bhangra team ever to come out of he University of Birmingham. Made up of 16 dancers and 2 musicians, this team was awarded 3rd place in the Bhangra Showdown which was held in London's Sadlers' Wells dance theatre on the 31st of Januray 2009.
The team prides itself, not only on their originality, but also on respecting the routes of Bhangra. Their aims are to increase the awareness of punjabi culture by being proud of their heritage and ultimately be proud of where they're from.
Isnt it strange tat, even though Punjabi's have been in UK for a while...bt no decent Bhangra teams in UK....I like US ones.....
But I am sure...U guys wud make it someday...as the competition wud get better....
Gud Luck.....Realy gud first attempt....

That seems like a fair comment, however, you are comparing the wrong teams to the US greats. Have a look at the handful of professional teams in the UK, who have one competitions here in the UK and US for the past 25 years.
There are teams that have been established for 40 years, giving children in their local community something worthwhile to do on a friday night for more than 2 generations.
Competitions have dried up between the pro teams in the UK yes, but the quality is here, trust me...
