@krummelhart You'd need to involve another pump -- Flo Jet or something like that -- to pump the water up into the reservoir instead of relying on the existing tubes/pump system -- or setup a gravitational system to get the water into the reservoir. Theoretically it can be done and I know folks have done stuff and posted on the Internet, so I'd poke around to see if someone has mod'd it this way and what tips they have. It's not something we do so we're not certain. - Kat
Is it possible to just extend the tubes that normally go into the reservoir in the back of an espresso machine (Like an Rancilio Silvia) to a large 5 gallon bottle of water directly under the counter below the machine?... or do the water pumps in these machine not have the power to move water the extra 36 inches?
