this and Paddy West are the sounds of my childhood! We used to sing these as we sailed on Lake Michigan - heck I lost my front baby teeth sailing in a storm! Thanks for sharing this!

There is probably a version of this in any language that has ever provided sailors. This is one of the most basic pulley-hauley tunes

Definitely -- Lloyd's is more realistic. I do think the Clancy Bros were great singers, but this little "ditty" is kinda ridiculous as a chantey.
