The only comment I have to offer is LOOK UP! Snags have branches that like to fall, especially when you're pounding away at the wedges, and all that shaking is amplified up the bole. The cut was fine.

Have you ever heard of lumber? or firewood? It is made from-get this-TREES! Nice trees work great for such things.
