There's an easier way to replace the slider bulbs. Get to the point where you turn them 1/4 turn and remove them from the dash. Then take a pair of needlenose pliers with electrical tape wrapped 4-5 times around the tips. Carefully grasp the top of the bulb, then pull it straight out of the bulb holder. Don't squeeze too tight or you'll break the bulb. Replace with a #74 bulb, and you're in business. Just did this today on my '95 SL, so it definitely works.
what is the size or spec for the ac button bulbs? or even a part number?
