@austdata Sir, I don't know where you got your information from, but the data is not correct. Also, you come across as a USA hater since you decided to bring up all the faults of the US and failed to mention one of the E countries and what the did to rape their tax payers in funding that idiot idea of the Concord which they then had to give away to BA because they could not sell it. They did it again with airbus, taking millions from tax payers money to help fund it to "get to Boeing". Wake Up.

@CaptainArt777 "For every tax break the US gave Boeing, the E countries gave Airbus 10,000."
Please! The US gov gave Boeing $750 million to design the now rejected option to the F35. That happens all the time and it certainly subsidises the whole of Boeing. Then, there's the US gov bribery of foreign governments and their officials show by US Senator John Glenn ex astronaut (wasn't $45 BILLION to the Saudis?). Then the US gets upset with business that does it themselves. It's duplicitous!!

@Pvjinflight I don't understand how you can say that " i'm pretty sure " when it is clear to me and others in the know, that you haven't research this. For every tax break the US gave Boeing, the E countries gave Airbus 10,000. You really need to know your facts before you claim to be " pretty sure ". Love the 747-400 series which I believe to be better than anything Airbus has to offer. Happy Flying to you and your family.

@CaptainArt777 Im pretty sure that US government has given Boeing some financial help too.

@Pvjinflight CJ pilot fail to mention that the reason that there are so many Airbus planes, is because their countries supplement the cost so they can sell it cheaper while Boeing is on its own. Since the start, it was Airbus and the local countries plans, to put Boeing out of business or at least cut way into their profit. There are many E-countries involve since parts are made in many diff. E-countries. The France have always hated anything American. Wait till you ever visit there.
This comment is for those that don't understand why the engine is still running. A jet engine is not the same as a car engine. A car engine has individual pistons that produce combustion. A jet engine has a chamber that is continuous combustion. Once the fuel is turned on, it will run until the fuel source is stopped basically. These engines have generators that produce their own power as well as built in fuel pumps. So both the electric and engine pumps will continue to work as long as

there is a fuel source and they are not damaged. The pops you hear in the video are stalls. The engine is not getting enough air to run smoothly OR it is ingesting debris (FOD) due to the accident. The only way to stop that engine is to cut the fuel source or FOD it out. There is a video of another accident where the engine won't shut down. The fire crew had to foam the engine to flame it out. Hope this was helpful.
