Wow, you should see the grin on my face when you drove through the "pole" shopping area. What memories. I was there 85-88 and STILL have stuff that I bought from those stores,haha. Glad to see it is still standing, unlike a lot of other things around there. The poles were painted yellow then, so we called it "yellow brick road." There's a Micky D's there now? We had to drive to Hon Hachinohe for that and KFC. Way better than stateside. BK on base was built when I was there. Thanks for posting.
