The contrast between the banal setting (totally vanilla decor, 'All My Children' on the boob tube, etc.) and the sadistic imaginings of 'The Girlfriend' is great. I also loved the line about 'soul sameness', just as another poster said s/he did. Bravo!

Brilliantly conceived, this is an excellent brief insight into the common cause of a couple's decline. Too bad both were not into s&m to start, but alas that's the all too frequent problem. How to keep this or any kind of relationship fresh... who knows? Thanks, Paul, from Regime Imperia
