  • i added a line input to insert a current at the yamaha synthesis chip, the siemens function generators send a low frequency wobble signal below 1v into it, so far it hasnt been damaging, if you want to know exactly between which pins the current goes, i'd have to look again...

with the pss380, every change in sound parameters triggers a new note immediately, so the sound parameters changing a lot meaning a lot of notes being played...

  • @mantara32 real musicians dont play instruments

  • I have one of these and I can tell you they are nothing more than a toy synth... NOT a professional instrument! To say this is not a toy is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! lol

  • I'm not sure I like the sound of applying current to the synth chips in the way you have done, OK if you know what you're doing that's fine, but that can't be too good for the micro chips at all. In this context what do you mean by CV in?

  • I would have to agree with that, I've just been watching a video of the Yamaha PSS-390, I don't believe it had been Circuit Bent, but some of the sounds it made were truely amazing. I personally don't like Circuit Bending at all, but I'm in the very small minority here.

  • what song is that?

  • where did you find the CV in?

  • I second that.

  • come rompere una tastiera per il cazzo!

  • mine sometimes doesn't work properly when it's cold (-15 or so) and will produce drum sounds out of the volume buttons!

you can slide through all the different sounds they put into it and make your own drumloops

and the all the other buttons along the top make sounds from the keyboard, the digita synth section does a slide through the notes as well
