I've tried this recipe twice already and it turned out really nice everytime... The first time, I made 2 variations, one with sultanas, the other one with cheese... My husband and my friends loved it! Thank you very much for sharing your recipe...

Glad you enjoyed them, I think the internet is about sharing. You get some knowledge from it and you give some back.

It's scary how much she looks like my nan, and I used to make scones with her....

Great video though, there's nothing to do in my house over the school holidays, so this is perfect! Thanks!

What a sweet video; I think I'm gonna save it. BUT, margarine............mm-m. Not a fan.

Butter is probably better, margarine used to be considered a good substitute for butter but not any more.

A few years ago, I spent 2 weeks traveling across Ireland. Irish scones are the best! I also fell in love with the brown bread. I'm inspired to give these a try!

My mother is a great source of Irish recipes unfortunately she was very shy about making this video and I dont think I can coax her to make any more of them.

Well it is as George Bernard Shaw said of the Americans and the English, two nations seperated by a common language. In England/Ireland a biscuit is a cookie and a scone is what the vidoe shows being made. There are many such confusions e.g. what Amercians call fries we call chips but what you call chips we call crisps.

I suspect the over is not hot enough or maybe you ae not dipping in them in the egg mixture which is, I believe, what turns brown.
