Africans walked this earth 135,000 years before any other "race". They then spread out to populate all parts of the world. Like you said, the first Asians, Europeans, Americans, were ALL black. Everyone is black. "White people" evolved not to exhibit complexion due to their location away from the equator. You say different, you'll have to explain that one to me. Once whites embrace their African origins they will stop being so hateful, I believe...I hope!

I am black and I do not find anything abhorent about calling myself African American. Why? Because my fellow black people and ancestors fought and died to be called American. Blacks of African descent had to fight for assimilation unlike all other early immigrants to America. There are dark skinned people all over the world but they do not identify or wish to be classified with African Americans or black people of African descent.
