Numbers twenty-three through twenty-eight are an entirely different type of video for me - these are recordings of my "Toons on Film: Making Movies in CITY OF HEROES/VILLAINS" panel as presented at HeroCon 2008. (For those who were at the 'con, this is the 3pm presentation - I chose this one because a) the videotape got screwed up during the 1pm session, and b) the projector also spazzed out during the 1pm session.)

This video is six parts long - this segment is Part V: Wrapping Things Up. Two videos are shown during this presentation - one was the "Time to Start" video, the other was the "Value of PWNage" video. You can find these on my YouTube channel.

Part I (Introduction) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTHir4-aXp4
Part II (How'd She Do That?) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0_ET-Uyh5U
Part III (The Art of Demoediting) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mg_DGcQKN3E
Part IV (Putting It All Together) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nonqLeMKyAw
Part V (Wrapping It Up) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77bu4N1bLYY
Part VI (Last Minute Stuff) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_T_ihO7GYA

I apologize in advance - because I kept moving around, and because I didn't want to block the screen, there are parts where you either cannot see ME, or you cannot see the SCREEN. Sorry!

Like my other videos, this one is tagged as Samuraiko Productions, for those who follow my work. Enjoy! • Thx!

  • You're welcome!

  • So once you have the file and have changed what you want, how do you view it as a video?

  • Use Zloth's Demo Launcher to play it back. You'll need to use FRAPS or some equivalent to capture the footage and convert it to a video file.

  • Im not sure when but you can walk now. Its an inherit power u get at lvl 2.

    I play on Champion

  • Yes, BAB made it available just after HeroCon 2009 (approximately late Oct/early Nov). :) And there was much rejoicing.

  • Thank you!

  • hey thats cool how to make videos. you are funny on your videos you make every one laugh in the room there

  • I've not yet found something like that, although I do know what you're talking about. I might do a later video on how to 'make things more interesting', as it were. Best method I use is to watch scenes in movies that cinematically make me go 'wow', and then try to figure out WHY it did... then I go for stuff like that. Hope it helps! :)

  • I've gotten good at editing movies but had a question from the perspective of being a movie "director". Is there anywhere that describe the best angles, perspectives, etc to get a desired emotional impact or even just merely to make things more interesting. Kind of Film Directory 101. For example I read that you should do cuts to a different angle every few seconds for dramatic effect in fights. I hope my question makes sense. Thanks and great video.
