Clinton Portis is a douche bag and Dogs do have feelings, theres stories of them saving human lifes on tv programing. Its not in their blood to fight for no reason, they fight because their owners force them to fight and they spend their entire abused lives in a cage and they know the only way they can get food is if they do what their owner makes them do. They don't fight because they enjoy it they fight because they want to live. So sure you can say that "Wanting to live" is in their blood.
i agree with portis 100 percent ...what about bull fighting or cock fighting...in reality there just dogs and its not that big of a deal to put this guy behind bars for 2 years and let his talent just rot away
Last I knew people were given the choice to fight for a living or not... either way, people dont fight to the death and everything is monitored very carefully... Chances of dying because of a professional fight are slim-to-none.
well im not saying its right but its no reason to try and persecute someone. and there are alot of dead fighters who would love to hear ur slim to none theory. but ofcourse they are dead so they cant. and tell muhammed ali how well professional fights are monitored. and if dogs had compassion like humans they wouldnt fight to the death. but dogs werent given feelings and emotions like that. not saying its right but im not gonna say he is a terrible person because of it.
Unfortunately, it is all in how you were raised to determine the perspective on this sort of topic.
In regard to professional fighting, that is the name and the game... You get paid, normally more money in one fight than most people make in a lifetime. Fights are extremely well monitored (maybe more-so these days) for the fighters safety. Professional fighters, I would imagine, has had many less injuries than a professional football player though.
Portis is a poor example to our youth. I cant believe you see him in supposed positive promotion clips aimed at positive influence and here he is defending behavior that even a five year old would know is wrong. Vick made a horrible error in judgment of dog fighting. STOP defending him and just admit it was horribly wrong. Portis should not be looked up to by our youth for his support of dog fighting and his poor sportsmanship like helmet throwing on national TV.
