I personally invested (back in December-2008) with Urban Detroit Wholesalers and have yet to be paid back on my investment.
I invested $35,000 and they signed a contract (promissory note) stating they would pay me $40,000 within 6months. As a guarantee they contractually were obligated to put me on title of the property.
In addition, they never completed the repairs on the property I paid for and the back taxes on the property caused it to be foreclosed on by the county earlier this year.

Detroit property is one of the leaders in this market and offer really great investment opportunities.

Yes, Detroit property can be a very good investment at the moment but of course you have to pick the right property in the right area and then find a tenant, looks like this company can help with the whole package....

I like this as its real and shows actual houses being refurb'd as well as a link to a good investment guide, well done.....
I find this video funny. What an unrealistic view of foreclosed abandoned houses. For $26,000 you may get a house that nice, but consider how much the refurbishment will cost. I estimate the work portrayed in that video easily cost 7,000 or 8,000. The worst part would be waiting for a return on a house in Detroit you have put money into. People are LEAVING Detroit, there are no neighborhoods there that are safe. The beautiful houses that are left are a glimpse into Detroit's past.

Thank you for watching. The price includes the full refurb & the homes are then offered to the US government HUD programme with 9,000+ families looking for quality accommodation. People still work and live in Detroit & there are still nice neighbourhoods. Our team know the best locations & types of property. The process, from finding a suitable property, the refurb, rental & management is done for you. Plus most families want to buy the property in the future so the Exit strategy is good.
