  • could it be possible that consciousness evolved from photo sensitive cells. single celled organsims which were really only capable of dividing and absorbing nutrients were photo sensitive and through due course of evolution different cells sensitive to varying enviromental conditions took on specialised roles which eventually led to rudimentary consciousness ie creatures that would simply flee a heated volcanic vent to all the variations of conscious life we have today.

  • @lazyishardwork interesting idea. I've been reading Tom Campbell's "My Big TOE", and he offers a scientific explanation of "everything" that I think it really interesting as well.

    thanks for the comment

  • @Kostly That's exactly what I meant by "measure". You said "how much consciousness would then be responsible for." That is a measurement. You'd be solving the "easy problems." When you say "true nature" I take that to mean something that stands by itself rather than something seen in a subjective way. That means if there is a true nature to anything, we will never be able to know it because as soon as we try to detect it, it will be tainted by our biased views as humans.

  • @muphart We're not proposing to "measure" consciousness, per se. We're trying to nail down the TRUE nature of consciousness and how much consciousness would then be responsible for. In doing so, we can fully understand what we are able to accomplish with it.

  • @Kostly The hard problem of consciousness can never be answered, only discarded or humored. You cannot measure something with the same tool you are trying to get a measurement of.

  • @muphart Uhhh, the "why is blue blue and how can I convey that in another way other than my conscious experience" is the "hard problem of consciousness. No offense, but, you represent the ignorance that is plaguing the exploration of this phenomena in the scientific sense.

  • @websoull So? It's quite obvious that hinduism and buddhism at least had the fucking balls to tackle the most difficult questions that humanity has, even if they're issuing a "non-scientific" conclusion, if a conclusion is made at all.

  • Our consciousness is created by our uncountable subconsciousness mind.Everything (included all difference dimension) are created by subconsciousness mind (intention) so the universe. That was Budda teach us three thousand years ago. We are all affected by the nature law which is cause by the conditional causation. (cause and affect) . All things created under the conditional causation and have a boundry. Amitabha

  • @lazyishardwork

Then you are speculating that intelligence is born from unintelligence. Darwinism is flawed. Dr Bruce Liptons work explains bio-chemical stuctures that debunk darwinism. Consciousness is infinite, always pure and full of knowledge. Material energy cloaks consciousness which is spiritual. Matter comes from spirit. So to find your own consious, give up your hearts material desires to clear its lense. The truth then becomes easier to access.
