And so the ridiculousness continues...multiplies even. I thought I would try this. There's at least a couple really great covers of this song already out on the Youtubes. One was made by three kids in a stairwell and it was awesome. One was done by my sister-in-law with her friends with a melodica and it was also awesome.
I have no idea what possessed me to do this, save for that I was kind of impressed with my work on Holiday, and I've been listening to the Fleet Foxes' CD recently. I wanted to do more things with multiples of myself, and I could think of too many other songs with three part harmony...too many others that I could reasonably perform at least.
Overall I was shocked how well this worked, and how nice the animated mask on my foot is (in the very beginning of the video you can actually see the middle guy kick his foot in front of the guitar on the right). It's a small thing but it really completes the video.
As for the quality of the music, I know there are some mistakes, and the mandolin was hideously out of tune, but really the guitar and vocals cover it up. I'm actually quite happy with how it came out. I really don't know whether or not what I'm doing is really going to work until I get it into the computer. I was floored by how well this one worked. Perhaps it will be incentive to keep working on this stuff. Granted, making covers means I'm not making my own music...but hey, at least it's fun right?

Yeah, the introductions and then the repeated use of plural pronouns were certainly a little misleading.
Now that I know that you have these special powers, though, you should really try to have AT LEAST five Chris Dodgens for your next Fleet Foxes song... because you can. You could have an army! A virtual choir!
Congratulations on spawning the most hilarious comment chain to date. Though I'm at a loss to tell whether or not you're joking (and you very well may be).
To settle this, I'm just one guy (that's 1) who knows how to use a lot of software. Thanks for the subscription, I'll try not to let you down.
Claudio, These are all excellent techniques that, were they not triplets, they could use to make it LOOK like they were triplets! I'm pretty sure they're just three guys with the same name. I'm just guessing on the triplets part, though - two of them could have gotten plastic surgery or it could just be a crazy coincidence. Anyway, it seems HIGHLY likely that they have different middle names! It would be less confusing if they went by their middle names then.
you are joking ya?... please tell me you're joking. Its to do with the editing. He took three shots of it and then more than likely cropped them and pasted them together or if using Final Cut Pro just placed them beside each other. Camera tricks and editing aside, the video is brilliant and I love this cover. Really nice cover of an excellent song.
If Only, I think it's logically impossible for one guy to both wear a shoe on his left foot and not wear a shoe on his left foot. Also, the skill-set required to play both the keys and the guitar is rarely ever had by one man. So middle and right cannot be compatible (shoe!) and left and middle most likely are not compatible (keys v. guitar). Therefore, there are mostly likely two guys, and even more likely, three. :)

I always wondered how the filming of the Parent Traps was possible, so these technical comments are very helpful. - Thank you!
