4472 Departing from Gerrards Cross I think heading for Stratford -u- Avon in the early nineties.
Nice to see & hear the scotsman before she was spoilt with a double chimney and smoke deflectors

  • Now this is what 4472 SHOULD sound like! A Single Chimney Locomotive. She looks and sounds much better than when she had the double chimney.

  • I totally agree she sounded excellent when she had a single chimney but not as crisp as a single chimney castle??

  • @galloway6204 if yu are talkin about the domes on top of the boiler, they are to over heat steam

  • Seeing as she ran with smoke deflectors and a double chimney in service, with the result of becoming a better steaming engine, I'd hardly call that "Spoiling it". She does sound good though!
