well ya they are stronger.. and its not a good idea to train a horse to do something based on fear.. u gotta have a horse willing to run for you.. i have never rode my horse with spurs and just a squeeze will get him to go... when a horse is trained off of fear he isnt trained... he will blow up one day and seriously hurt someone or he will become sour and not enter the arena or use his flight instint to totally get away from u.. as in runnin off with you.

Hi! My name is Kahley too, exept I spell it like this, Kayleigh. I'm 11 years old, 5th grade and love horses. I live in Colorado. That's amazing how we have the same name! I have 5 horses, Brulay, Shadow, Arrow, Cupid, and Copper. Copper's my horse. He is amazing, he is a gelding, 7 years old, and a wonderful barrel racer!

I know because I have spent 19 years of my life on horses, and it is common sense that a horse is much more powerful then its rider. thats why good horsemen teach a horse to respond to it through positive body movements. If this horse, or any horse for that matter, was being harmed by its rider, it would simply react as all horses would...with the "flight" instinct, meaning it would find a way to get its 1000 pound body away from the 150 pound rider on its back.
This girl is not abusing her horse... What are you talking about?

First off, this entire thread made me LOL and yell obscenities alternately =)
The people who are claiming abuse or are relentlessly criticizing her abilities (or the sport itself) need to do their homework before you offend any more people. If you want something worthy of foul language and a real letter writing campaign, visit a local rescue where the horses were starved and beaten and almost sold to slaughter.
