  • I used to love to watch the gymnasts train while we had wrestling practice in college. A few of them would practice with us and were stronger than I imagined! Especially their grip strength. Their upper body strength was off the chart powerful! Glad I didn't have to wrestle against them. lol

  • @DemonWizzard. not really they don't, the only reason why they are more aesthetic is because they don't focus on building that much bodymass, not to mention the fact that they don't usually incur in substance abuse (anabolic steroids, hgh &c.) And also, you would be deluded to think that gymnasts don't work out with weights, i can assure you they do.

  • @Pheonix916 I'd be afraid fat people would be more likely to snap their arm doing that side lift thing on the pole...the arm that's on the bottom.

  • This is why gymnasts usually have more beautiful bodies than people who just "pump iron". Gymnasts use their muscles in a far greater variety of ways than body builders.

  • what kind of strength training do they use? classic barbells or just bodyweight? repetitions or not moving in a possition?
