@pearlqf Thai language is consists of several registers for different social contexts like street talk, formal talk, religious Thai and Royal Thai. In this conversation they are using religious Thai because it is between a monk and a normal person and to show respect to the monks. So it is quite difficult to translate because religious Thai is influenced by Saskrit and Pali.

It has never been against Buddhism to have good humor. Many Wats are not only like a church but as a school for children. Many monk use there humor to help the orphans through difficult times.

Well, I cant read or write in Thai but I understand 90%of the conversation :) They have great sense of humor. They are relating the most common events in life with Dharma and had made the stories sound interesting :) In my opinion, it is not easy to translate the conversation above. This is the beauty of Thai language :P
