Enchanted forest

To the left was the scenic route following part of the old river bed and then deviating into the cypress forest. The path to the right leads directly through the cypress forest. In truth, both paths are scenic, but the one to the right is faster. Some people call this stand of cypress the "Enchanted Forest" because paddlers can hear the church bells from a Moscow church at the turn of every hour. The combination of the diffused light through the cypress tree fronds, the sparkling water and the melodic ringing of the bells creates an enchanting effect.
