Description (http://www.deagel.com/): The Buk-M2, SA-17 Grizzly NATO-codename, is an upgraded version of the proven Buk-M1 road mobile air defense missile system (ADMS) and retains its main features. This multi-channel medium-range ADMS is designed to engage strategic and tactical aircraft, cruise missiles, helicopters, and other aerial vehicles.

The Buk-M2 also comprises:
- command post
- target acquisition radar
- up to six combat launcher vehicles
- up to six loader-launcher vehicles carrying four 9M38 missiles each.

The Buk-M2 is intended as an upgrade for existing Buk-M1 air defense systems thus improving their overall performance.

Just realize that Buk M2 missile have somehow shorter strake and larger diameter than BuK-M1 missile

It uses a different missile compared to the original Buk-M1, although there is a 'Buk-M1-2' modification which can also use the newer missile.

TOR-M1 =/= BUK-M1, BUK-M1 is much more sophisticated system.

What the Buk system has is an amazing ECM resistance. It shot down Russian bombers over Georgia. They build the damn thing and couldn't find a way to jam it.

I know Buk is a medium-range SAM. And it is nearly as fearsome as S-300/400.
