US strikes at Mexico drug ring

Feb. 25 - U.S. Attorney General Holder announced the arrest of at least 50 alleged members of Mexico's Sinaloa drug cartel in three U.S. states.

Wednesday's sweep in California, Maryland and Minnesota brought to 751 the total number of arrests under the Drug Enforcement Administration's "Operation XCellerator." Jon Decker reports. SOUNDBITE: Attorney General Eric Holder

20 tons of illegal drugs in 24 months?!!!

what a fucking joke, just last week Mexican military made a 7 ton drug bust, that is only in one week, not including all the RPGs and high caliber weapons, grandes, granade launchers AK47's . or the hundreds of tons Colombia, Ecuador and Peruvian governments confiscate in less time than that. I think the US government should start being more cooperative and work with those nations and worry more about those problems that affect our national security.

If the U.S.A. wanted to protect her borders and stop the drug trade she WOULD, she COULD. but she WON'T. Somebody is making big bucks!! Corruption is rampant, but don't blame the Mexicans. Now the US does something...NOW!??? I guess the Sinaloa cartel finally said "your cut US government is no more and NOW only NOW!!! Is the US doing something? Come on...Mexico has been the port for drugs for years!!!!!!!! Not only from Mexico but Columbia, Bolivia, and Panama! The US Government is just as corrupt as any other American country. this drug war is a good broadway play at the least!!! bush made his bones shaking hands with the originators of the ton size loads of cocaine back in the early years.... and when they plugged noriega and the padron with bullets and jail time the movement moved north into mexico...and these fucken guys have came to the conclusion that they no longer want to respect the american government.....now i was all for cheap pot and good mexican food for the past fifteen years ,but now they went too far!
