022 Two sword kata

This is the Okinawan Bugeikan version of a two sword Kata based on what the current head of the Bugeikan (Kiyohiko Higa) has inherited from his father, the founder of the Bugeikan; Seitoku Higa. This Kata is based on what Seitoku Higa had learnt whilst studying under Seikichi Uehara of Motobu Udun Di. My own school practices a Tankon Kata which has its origin in this two sword Kata of the Bugeikan. In this video sitting at the table in white at the back are Kiyohiko Higa and his wife and to teh left of teh screen near the end of the video one of their sons, who will eventually inherit the Bugeikan from his father Kiyohiko Higa.

The sword Kata was developed at the Bugeikan under Seitoku Higa based on what he learned from Seikichi Uehara of Motobu Ryu Udun Ti. There are other sword kata from this same source as well as from Motobu Ryu.

thank you for the info. this kata is rather curious for me, i have never seen a sword kata like this, in my time with shinkage ryu school. so thank you.
