Barroso is President of all he surveys,
But is he a bully when does not get his way?
Did he stand back and accept what Ireland said?
When we voted NO to the treaty, saying Lisbon was dead?
He could not; he would not leave it at that,
He pushed us, coerced us; that is a fact,
Until out leaders, our 'brave' leaders caved in to this man,
And 'offered' us a chance to do it right, second time around.
If we are all equals in this man's eyes,
He would not have entered our county at so critical a time,
Offering money to farmers and those feeling pain,
In a recession so biting, fashioned for rich persons' gain.
Before we could vote for a second time -- it's true,
For or against Lisbon, he showed his colours, so blue,
Showering us with money and stories so grand,
About Europe, for Europe our true Promised Land
We voted, said YES to this man's aims, second time,
Accepting his silver and his promises grand,
Thanking him truly, the president of us all,
Barroso, the bully, before our great fall.
Yes, we fell as surely night followed day,
When those pieces of silver had been squandered away.
Our Green, white and orange is now a thing of the past,
Replaced by a starry blue flag foisted upon us.
