Been a long time since I heard this. Nice rendition of it! you make it look so easy to play... I will try and tell you what ame out of it.THIS----< "An old children's song, written by Henry Clay Work in 1876, just before I was born. I used to find this really sad when I was little, and if it came on the radio I had to leave the room before I blubbed." made me chuckle quite a bit, good sense of humor too!! :)

Congratulations Ishmael.

The song is kinda like a short version of
"Our Town".
Henry Clay Work was one of the greatest 19th century American composers. The others were Steven Foster and George Root.
Johnny Cash recorded this song.
Nice performance. Tx 4 the timely post.

I love your playing, Teddy Bears Picnic, Old Grumpy and this delicate version of my Grandfather's Clock. The first song I learned finger picking (is there any other way to play? lol) was Railroad Bill (of course). But I could never compare with you.

Happy New Year to you too! Sorry, I don't have a tab for this, i just worked it out. It's in the key of C major in standard tuning, if that helps.
