Real poor quality video of Bo in 1978 in Wash DC. Hard core Bo fans might find it interesting, but casual fans will probably not enjoy it because of the low quality. I posted it because it is the only copy of this concert and better than nothing.

  • better than nothing!? bruv - thank you for sharing this. it sounds like the beginning of everything good in music: i can hear the fall, te velvet underground, the yardbirds,

run dmc, all kinds of mad brilliance in this. I'm so happy.. Damn!

  • it does sound racist, but its a fact, Jack! Back then and even now, drummers dont have "IT" . Blacks are the fathers of rock n roll. Just listen to the rythm sections , man! those cats really knew how and where to hit the drums! The forementioned great white drummers took their cues from black drummers, Example... Mitch MItchell = Elvin Jones, Ginger Baker = Max Roach. Compare the drumming on this to the drumming on say a clip of Bo back in the 50's and you be the judge, Jack! :)

  • it's still the late, great Bo Diddley!

  • Thanks for sharing this.

  • @adoreslaurel More than repetitive I´d call it "hypnotic", just because I thinks there was a specific purpose behind that "repetitiveness".

  • elvis was not the king of rock and roll, never was . didn't do it first and didn't do it best. he just brought the watered down version to the white kids in suburbia. bo didley is the real thing.

  • I am 70 and listened to all the r n r in the 50's and 60's, but Bo got very little if any exposure in Australia in those days, all we seemed to get was Bo singing the song "bo Diddley"however he did have his own style which seemed very repetetive, regrettably not to my taste, but glad that his fans can get to see him on youtube.

  • loved it

  • There was only 1 Bo Diddley.... he did not copy others but had his own sound. Bo was a genius! We miss this great talent!

  • I remember when I first heard George Thorogood and the Destroyers, and heard him sing 'got all my Bo Diddley records'....and then I knew who was the king of rock n roll:.............Bo Diddley

  • Never before and never again will there be a guitar player like Bo! He is the KING!!!!!!!!!!!

  • awwww yeaaauuh! Bo Diddley's the KING!
