I was aboard the USS Priceton { LPH-5 } for this event { See at 20:22 into video }. I was a radarman doing airplot in CIC when the blast occurred. Contrary to being told to expect no kind of movement, the entire ship dropped about what felt like was a six foot foot free-fall as the shock-wave passed beneath the ship.
It was interesting to see this declassified record of that event. What a piece of propaganda !
