Two collaborations to support adaptation in the developing world were announced at a COP16 news conference at Moon Palace on 9 December: Adaptation Watch and the new Adaptation Fund NGO Network. Both aim to scale-up the coordination and exchange among stakeholders in order to track and assess the emerging increase in adaptation funding, including with regard to qualitative aspects. Building capacity within developing countries is a crucial element of this approach. In this video, Ian Tellam, of SEI and the ETC Foundation, explains the background of Adaptation Watch and its threefold purpose: transparency, capacity-building, and research.
