  • I am having trouble picking a camcorder. I see myself mainly taking short videos to use for youtube or facebook, but I want one with good quality and is sturdy. However, I want a camcorder that if I am with my family or an occasion, that it will take good videos. For college, I am taking an intro film class, but we are required to get inexpensive cameras and we are going to do interviews. I was looking at the pocket cameras like the Sony Bloggie, but then I saw the Samsung Q10. I need help.

  • @Sinnawai While the ultra compact camcorders (like the Sony Bloggie) offer compact chassis and affordable pricing, they offer little to no optical zoom capability. At the same time, they will generally offer built-in support for YouTube and Facebook. Feel free to call for a personalized recommendation: 800.315.0030--Crutchfield

  • What about the prices? A $400 camcorder can have the same quality than a $800 camcorder?? Thankx. (excelent video)

  • @rettoricapura

If you spend 800 you will get something better that you would for $400. Could be a better lens, could be more inputs/outputs, bigger LCD screen, better low light shooting, touchscreen (instead of no-touch). Usually though, you get similar quality in optimal lighting conditions with most of these High Definition cameras.

    I hope that helps,

  • She forgot the MOST important feature on a camcorder. How well does it shoot in LOW LIGHT? That's the MOST important feature. you don't want noise (grain) in your video. Also SIZE of the SENSOR! And LASTLY, what CODECS doe it shoot? because AVCHD is a pain in the ass to edit as it is considered a "finishing codec" not designed to be edited due to it extremely high compression level.

  • Thanks!

  • nice video
