Words and music by Ed McCurdy, 1950

Last night I had the strangest dream
I never dreamed before
I dreamed the world had all agreed
To put an end to war

I dreamed I saw a mighty room
The room was filled with men
And the paper they were signing said
They'd never fight again

And when the paper was all signed
And a million copies made
They all joined hands and bowed their heads
And grateful prayers were prayed

And the people in the streets below
Were dancing 'round and 'round
While swords and guns and uniforms
Were scattered on the ground

Last night I had the strangest dream
I never dreamed before
I dreamed the world had all agreed
To put an end to war.

Please write and email
the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court,
asking for the investigation and prosecution
of George W Bush for genocide,
crimes against humanity and war crimes:

EXAMPLE

Mr. Luis Moreno-Ocampo

Dear Sir;

I note that your mandate
"is to conduct investigations and prosecutions
of crimes that fall within the jurisdiction of the Court,
that is, the crime of genocide,
crimes against humanity and war crimes."

This is a perfect description
of the actions of American President George W. Bush.
As an American citizen
appalled at the illegal invasion and terrorizing of Iraq,
the President-sponsored torture,
the "Constitution-free" prisons
in which citizens of various nationalities
are brutalized and punished without trial,
the construction of such camps
within the USA and around the world,
the initiation of war in Pakistan and in Iran,
and the genocide now being carried out in the Middle East
I appeal to you and to your office
to investigate and prosecute George W. Bush
for the crime of genocide,
crimes against humanity and war crimes.

Most sincerely, and with respect,
(Shas)

  • I love it! Your really good! what chords are you playing on the ukulele, I would like to learn to play like you.

  • @Themonkeyman106

The chords are just C, F, and G,

with an occasional G7 thrown in.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

  • I find that so many songs from the '60s and '70s

are needed and appropriate again today.

I don't know WHY you like my videos, folks,

but I'm delighted that you do.

    I'm open to suggestions, too.

For instance, I have not been responding to individual comments, because I don't want to push them off the bottom of the page. I figure the comment box is for YOUR use. Am I wrong? Would you prefer one-on-one responses? I assure you, I do VALUE them individually!

    Thanks for watching!
