I've lived in Lou-a-vull my whole life. That is how everyone I know that is from here pronounces it. I assure you I don't associate with rednecks. If they wanted to get someone to represent the city why oh why did they have to get a hilljack removed from the hills wearing a uk shirt?

I personally like the way that sounds better then (Loo-ee-ville)
It's got several pronunciations. They even have an advert emphasizing that point.
at least three different ways to say it are listed, and it says "No matter how you say it"...I forget the rest, but it's enough to get the point across.
