A dealer that had driven the egc gearbox version at launch told me it is different in auto and manual modes. Apparently most journos were keeping their foot down like in a traditional torque converter automatic then trying to flick the paddles. The manual mode requires you to lift off the throttle when shifting gears like a manual gearbox with clutch pedal and if you don't the software overrides you - hence the 'delay' some are talking about. Auto mode does it all for you.
