I love the Clash. I love this song. I'm thrilled that I can play it.

I call this uke my Fireflea. It was born as an Epiphone Mandobird IV and it's setup as a uke. Looks like a Gibson Firebird so Fireflea, get it? Plays nice but the fretboard is too skinny.

  • very great! chords please!

  • google the song name and the word "chords" they're out there in at least a dozen places.

  • @ukemike1 This is the only distortion for ukulele/mandolin that really sounds good, from all I've seen so far (and I've done lots of research)!!!

What I can't understand, is why everybody that has a Mandobird (or other electric mandolin), for the better using of effcts, turns it into an ukulele...

Isn't the tuning of an ukulele higher then a mandolin? And, woudn't the distortion/overdrive/fuzz/etc sound better, in a lower tuning (the mandolin, in this case...) ???

    btw: nice playing!

  • @DimmyAraujo Thank you.

Ukuleles are really popular now, and there is a lack of cool solid body electric ukes. The Mandobird is pretty cheap. So people make the conversion. Soprano ukuleles and mandolins play in roughly the same range.

  • Great Job !!

    Good Sound

    5/5

with which recorded the video or is only the mic of the cam ?

  • wow thats got pretty good sound

  • Very cool!

    ^^

Though I must admit I took your usage of the word uke wrong. X3

  • Oh yes. The neck is so narrow that it is difficult to play. The typically easy D chord is no longer easy. Lucky that electrics are more forgiving when you accidentally touch the wrong string.
