Just want to ask.. I am not a dad, but I want to know this. Is it healthy for a kid to be tucked in like that? I mean, should the baby not be able to do something with it's arms and legs and not tuck it in? Or is it all right to do that (I can see it is, but maybe not in longer periods?). I am just askin because I am also waiting for my son to be born :) And just wanna know it in advance :P

Not only is it healthy, it is encouraged.

For the first several months of their lives, they were tightly wrapped inside mommies womb. So swaddling helps them feel safe and secure after they are born. Newborns want to be warm, clean, snug and fed. Swaddling helps with the transition from the tiny space to the huge world. Don't worry, he gets plenty of time and space to move his arms freely, and if done right, he should be able to move them within the swaddle a bit. But it really doesnt matter, what does matter is his feeling snug. :)
