  • Good video. What did it need, a gasket or seal?

I am going to remove my bonneville tank today as I have a slight gas leak at one of the petcocks.

The bike was in desperate need of new seals. They had been put in wrong. As with this and any other bike it is good parctice to renew all seals and gaskets as a matter of course.

Recommend you use copper washers with a rubber insert for your petcocks. They work a treat.

  • Thanks there may be hope of me having a running R3 with vids like this!

I just molded Viton PP tube seals as well to test at 80dur. Used them them on twins no swelling or distortion like clear or white. They fit cups too!

Great looking finned heads the Hurricanes, 5*

  • Davy, Nice video as always ... and great to see the care you, Derek and Rab take with these bikes. A video like this explains so much more than pages of diagrams. Really nice job. Mike
