  • Should last for a v long time if you keep it in correct conditions. Humid air will weaken the draw-weight as the string will stretch. Unfortunately it's very difficult to easily replace a crossbow string but v easy to replace (and remove) a bow string-hence why bowmen would keep spares under their hats in case they were needed. In a battle, if it rained - crossbows would be very short lived - perhaps even just one shot before they lost the advantage over the bow of having such huge draw-weights.

  • @Squink666 how long do you think will one of these crossbows last?

  • It would be better if you attached the armour plate to a heavy sand bag. that way the bolt might go through. with no weight behind it it doesnt work as well. Please do it again, this video rocks!
