If you run I will vote.

i'm with Rand on puting a clause in all government contracts saying you can't lobby or contribute the PACs but I know that the second we get there we are going to start arguing over time periods for this ban on lobbying. And when left libertarians like myself start proposing that it needs to be at least 5 years to have any effect, he is going to come at us with "it's an unconstitutional abuse of federal powers and infinges on our 1st amendment rights.

Constitutional, that is all that is needed to head in the Direction of Renewed Freedom, Support the Founding Fathers and the Constitution.

I think Rand's the man, but I also believe 9/11 was an inside job. Building 7 didn't fall in 6.5 seconds because of debris. We need representatives who will fight for the people, which means uncovering the truth as to why we're spending a trillion a year on "defense", because to me it sounds more like offense. We need to cut the military budget, across the board, and we need to get back to the Constitution. Otherwise we're fucked!!

@MyVerkOuts He has said some things that would indicate he will vote for war authorization and defense spending. You don't have to go out of your way to look it up.
Like I said, I would have voted for him if I lived in Kentucky. I am also going to watch closely and see how he votes. Putting your hope in any politician, no matter who they are, is only setting yourself up for regret. Best.

@rosiechanel you are wrong about Rand Paul. We anti-war conservatives worked really hard to elect him. He is NOT going to go along with the NeoCon agenda. It's time to celebrate that a "Paul" got elected to a state wide election. People like Rand are going to stop Obama and the Neocons from starting an unnecessary war in Iran. It's time to start supporting him instead of peeing in the punch and nitpicking about petty things.

Every Senator should view taking the nation to war like this. If we followed the Constitution and declared our wars so that everyone is responsible for the decision, we wouldn't have all of this political infighting about it (and oh yeah, we might actually win a war when we have to fight one). Having Senators like Dr. Paul in our federal government to administer our nation's constitutional duties would be a welcome change to what we have now. I wish there were many more men just like him.

I don't agree totally with Rand on foreign policy, but under no circumstances do I think he's part of the MIC or the corporatocracy. I have no problem with being forced to go to war in defense, but the main problem is with, like he said, lobbyists and corruption which causes us to invade countries willy-nilly for ECONOMIC reasons.
Read Confessions of an Economic Hitman and it'll explain EVERYTHING about our modern foreign policy.

It's too bad Rand doesn't share his father's views on anti-intervention and closing GITMO Bay. He's turned out to be another neo-con in sheep's clothing.
I would probably vote for him if I were in Kentucky just because of his supposed views on the fed, but I sure as hell wouldn't trust him.
Hope folks don't get too disappointed. I guess there's no such thing as a good politician.
As long as Rand supports Palin I will not support Rand.
