In this video I teach you how to edit PDF files i.e. write and delete words in PDF files with Adobe Acrobat Professional.

What is PDF?
Portable Document Format (PDF) is an open standard for document exchange. This file format created by Adobe Systems in 1993 is used for representing documents in a manner independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems.[ Each PDF file encapsulates a complete description of a fixed-layout flat document, including the text, fonts, graphics, and other information needed to display it.
In 1991 Adobe Systems co-founder John Warnock outlined a system called "Camelot" that evolved into the Portable Document Format (PDF).
While the PDF specification was available for free since at least 2001, PDF was originally a proprietary format controlled by Adobe, and was officially released as an open standard on July 1, 2008, and published by the International Organization for Standardization as ISO 32000-1:2008. In 2008, Adobe published a Public Patent License to ISO 32000-1 granting a royalty-free rights for all patents owned by Adobe that are necessary to make, use, sell and distribute PDF compliant implementations.

Editing PDF
There is also specialized software for editing PDF files, though the choices are much more limited and often expensive. As of version 0.46, Inkscape also allows PDF editing through an intermediate translation step involving Poppler.
Enfocus PitStop Pro, a plugin for Acrobat, allows manual and automatic editing of PDF files,[78] while the free Enfocus Browser makes it possible to edit the low-level structure of a PDF

  • hi, I can delete but when I re-write, boxes show up what is the problem?

  • @xonnibuzu

it's because you are also using the feature of deleting images form PDF files at the same time. Just use editing text first.

  • @szaka67 Is Adobe Acrobat Professional 10.1.0 the one you speaking about

  • @STLEO1

    Hi

All Adobe Acrobat Professional I have had starting form ( 6.0+)have this function. That's one of their distinctive features. I'm using older version in this video(7.0) but 10.1.0 must definitely have it too.

    Thanks

  • This is good. But how about trying something which saves a lot of time and makes you very productive. I am talking about The PDF2XL Converter, which converts PDF files to editable formats in just five minutes. Extract data from PDF to editable spreadsheets and word files. Try it. It's worth to give a try.

  • thank you!! saved my time
