console based application refers to system programming right... but as you said, using .Net we can only do application programming.. please clarify on this point.. thanks in advance..

@manjuillusion I am sorry, your assumption that Console Based Application are used only for System Programming is wrong...Rather we cannot do system programming in .NET. So even if someone developers console based application in .net it will be application programming only.

At 2.33 you said, Framework Ver 2.0 is standalone. When I try to run VB 2008 programs on VB 2005, I get an error stating that Project creted in newer version cannot run. Is this only because that 2.0 is standalone?
