Actually, a blast barrel or hook is directly above it, which will lead you to the dk coin.

I have a questioin on 2player if one person dies and the monkey blinks can the same player push the button to play again or does the 2nd player take charge?

in the first level on this video i believe the DK coin is to the left of the first bonus barrel on a hook.
