  • its not that it runs on cold, it runs on any tempreture differential, as long as either side is hotter than the other, it will run, so when its sitting on ice, it is running backwards, using the heat from on top, rather than through the bottom. heat is a form of energy, cold is the absence, and heat will travel to the absence till it finds a balence.
