Carmel Ambassadors, You will forever be my favorite choir. From the first 15 seconds of visual in this number I KNEW why you win visual everywhere you go. I would have LOVED to see this show on a night when you all weren't too tired to chew gum let alone perform.... I don't know how many ppl are aware, but they were going to forgo state because of "A Night with the Ambassadors", their annual concert. Last minute they showed up after performing a full 4 hour show the night before. BRAVO!

@1corbin3 im from carmel, my sister was in this, we aint doin so good, we were always middle class, our house is on foreclosure watch, i shop at goodwill, and we are just like everyone else 95% of the people in carmel are middle class or lower, its just the 5% get all the headlines

@1corbin3 You know that people from Carmel aren't rich snobs right? They're really good and they have a very low costume fee. They raise most of the money themselves.

Just thought I would let you know that Ambassadors has one of the lowest costume fees in the state. They raise almost all of their money selling various items and they start the year off with a huge car wash. Yes Carmel, Indiana is a vary nice community, but that does not mean that everyone that lives there is rolling in money. Most of the students in Ambassadors are not what you would consider rich. They are very fortunate in having a strong parent group that helps sew all of their costumes.

@smith12smith If they had really shown up for state they would have won.... I was there all day, and they were just flat.... good vocals, good show design, precise choreography, ZERO energy.

i think that the choir did amazing.

but, i my school would also be that good if we had their money.

anyways, no reason to be mean.

they are good.

and i also think that the only reason they were spoken about on glee is because they are carmel.

people hear the name and automatically assume they're greek gods or something.

not trying to be mean, but it's the truth.

they are pretty good dancers i have to admit=]

I don't even like "alwaysrational" because whoever it is, is NEVER rational... but, Carmel has one of the best choral programs in the country, and just because they don't still do Concert choir, they have as much vocal technique as anyone else. I'm pretty sure Ann Conrad (their director) would be happy to explain to you exactly what "vocal technique" really is, and how the kids coming out of her program are better qualified for stage than any others in the country.

Thank you so much! We knew what we were getting into when we made the decision to compete at state. It's hard to focus on our progress throughout the season when there is a week taken out of competition rehearsal for another show. No hard feelings about state from over here.

Carmel High School was recognized in the first episode of Fox's show, Glee. And now I can see why. This is amazing, especially considering these kids are only in high school.
