I want to make sure that all who watch this video know I'm NOT taking credit for filming this video. It was shot by WB Video Proudctions (http://www.railfanvideo.com/catalog/vie wall.aspx). I have no intent of infrenging on somebodys copyright. I only wish to share these clips with fellow railfans who appreciate these shots for what they are.
Now that I've placed my disclasmer, here we go:
Here's Amtrak's California Zepher leaving Denver, Co's Union Station on its way west over the Rockies on its way toward Salt lake City & eventually California.
Two of the three tracks at Denver Union Station and the old switches that were just south of the station have been torn out. Theres only one track left for normal rail survace. Whats the deal?

It doesn't leaveTHAT early (assuming its an hour or so late, which it usually is. Its scheduled to leave at 8:30 usually, which is pretty early)

Denver Station was an eye opener for me. BIG station, high altitude I will never forget how breathing was for me - tough. Denver and streets were fantastic to see.
Trains were to me a throwback to the Lionel and American Flyer days!
Loved every minute!

A familiar sight? yeah if you get up early enough to see it!

Id say Mid 80s, because of the 2nd baggage car and the phase 2 on some superliners.
