ya'll are so ignorant to the nature of racism that u don't even know when the term is applicable. he is white so no he won't understand the experience of people of color in a white dominated society where racism against minorities still exists. that's why (many of u) so arrogantly tell us that racism is in the past, as if you really could know how often we do and do not experience it. im black & can tell u that arrogance promotes resentment more than an ethnic studies program does.

Tom Horne "I was never invited" State Senator "We have testimony saying you have been invited"
Sounds like Horne is liar. No surprise there!

When the news commentator told Horne that hes white and wouldn't understand another race, how was that not racist? If the problem is what the history books are not teaching, then fight to change those books. Having a separate class that promotes one to favor any race over another, is racist. I am not Chicano and my "white" culture has put down their culture. I wouldn't like me if i took that class, why should anyone else. How does this help integrate other cultures in American culture.

Talk about textbook examples of "Closet Racism" and "Psychological Projection".....Not only are they unaware of their own racial prejudices but they have the audacity and temerity to subconsciously project those prejudices onto others, especially others who are trying to eliminate prejudice, discrimination and stereotypes.
States like Arizona make me feel shamed of my country. It's 2011 and it incredible that we're dealing with issues like this as if it were the 1950's.
