@newcoyote it keeps him in a highly suggestable state of mind by giving just a subtle hint that it isn't really over yet.. the non rythmic tapping also distracts the mind's neurons to a rapid fire state... so it's subconsciously adding to the overall insanity he's already started to feel.. very clever actually. Derren does something similar in zombie action arcade where the zombies don't really stop completely until the guy is back into a hypnotic trance, otherwise he may snap out of it

Have You noticed that when Derren shows the 2 cards...TRICK & TREAT ... It looks like the guy has random choice (50:50) ... BUT if You turn the card TRICK up side down it says TREAT , and the other way around... Derren has complete control over the choice ... I love the way he does it :D
