'The Linking Method' improve memory

Teaching the Mnemonic method 'The Linking system'.
Say you are trying to remember the following 5 words: Dog, Carrot, Beans, Guitar and Milk.
You'll visually link them together using the 'Linking Method'
aka take the first word 'Dog' visually Link it with the second word 'Carrot' (make the image bright, funny,exaggerated etc) aka a massive carrot fighting a huge rabid dog. (sounds silly but its memorbale that way)
then you'll link 'Carrot' with 'Beans' (a gaint carrot chewing on lots of beans) 'Beans' with 'Guitar' (tiny little beans playing a guitar in the latest rock band 'beantastic'!)
'Guitar' and 'Milk' (pouring rotting stinking milk on to your brand new guitar) You should now not forget that list in a long while!!!
