MLSP mastermind retreat in Cancun was led by MLSP co-founders, top leaders and a few sprinklings of morning motivational leadership by yours truly.

I'll share more details on what I led later -- mainly refreshers on what we know already: knowing who you are and how to identify your personality type, daily journaling to warm up your writing skills, deliberate action applying what we learn and most importantly, gratitude.

We project our leadership from two directions. One is coming from the voice of a teacher. We share experiences and guide others through hands on tangible actions taken and skills learned. The second and more meaningful comes from the personal breakthroughs we have. The ones we didn't see coming, the ones that stop us in our tracks.

Rob Fore, one of the MLSP top guns with us in Cancun, led us through understanding our hurts, habits and hangups. Through what seemed an hours worth of eyes closed visualization of the slow end of our lives we were guided through what and how we would live through our final month, week, and ultimately final day. He walked us through understanding and living in our personal genius for making profound changes. He spoke of the conscious mind versus the unconscious mind. Finally he spoke of reframing memories.

The entire process had a profound effect on me and I physically felt a shift inside my center of being. Don't ask me what "center of being" really is... all I know is that's what it felt like. There was a completion of self, a grounding of sorts.

And then he unveiled the path of broken glass. No, not a metaphor...real big shards of broken dark green and brown wine bottles. With thirty people encircling the path of glass Rob walked across it and said, "Who wants to go first?"

I did and so I went.

My heart is actually starting to quicken as I recall the feeling I had. I felt nervous but I hate feeling nervous so I wanted to go first for my own personal victory. Across the glass I walked. Bada bing bada boom. There you go...done, done and done. Roxi's on fire -- again. Then I heard David Wood say, "If a little girl can do it so can I." LOL, hah, Brian Fanale knows me well -- I looked at him with eyebrows raised and said, "I'm not just any little girl." ;)

Later one of the guests mentioned that no one had moved to walk across the glass as soon as I had because he felt everyone needed more proof and asked me what proof I needed.

I replied without thinking about my answer, "I am my own proof."

What about you? Do you need someone else to tell you it's ok? Know this: it's all ok. (within reason -- nothing illegal or harmful). You can do whatever you set your heart and mind to. You determine what is ok -- this is why knowing yourself is of utmost importance. Push yourself, push your boundaries. You can do it. What are your choices otherwise? It's a big beautiful world out there and I know you want more for yourself, your family and / or your community / environment. If for nothing else...do it for content and be surprised at what you get from it mentally, emotionally and developmentally.

What proof do you need that you can accomplish whatever you set your mind to? You are your own proof. It only takes one step on the path of what you want to begin true belief in yourself.
