It's been around 10 years that I've been looking for a English-subtitled version of Massoud l'Afghan. I managed to buy french DVD, but no subtitles. The movie is absolutely amazing and I saw it just once many years ago. If anyone could be of any help - please let me know. The two people were so inspiring and so little known...

salut, merci monia, comme presque tout le monde le sait et c'est vrai que Massoud était un homme exceptionnel avec un courage sans faille. ce lui qui était pendant 25 ans le symbole de la résistance afghane, et Mr Ponfily Christophe, le grand réalisateur et l'ami de Massoud. il nous a aussi quitté le 16 mai 2006, on ne les oublira jamais. Massoud et Ponfily! je vous aime pour toujours.

Does anyone know why Ponfilly died? Did they kill him or he really committed suicide? I think he was killed (assasinated), but I don't know by who and how. French government & media never talked about it publicly and this is why I am kind of suspicious.
He was a good man. He loved Massoud and Afghanistan.

Dear Tajick, Christophe de Ponfilly, a reporter of integrity who filmed Massoud several times, left us on 16th May last year. A beautiful story of friendship and respect between two nations and customs. Like him, I am not an Afghanistani but I have the utmost respect for Afghanistan and its friendly people. Salam on you!
