This video is in response to a video I saw on the news a day before. It shows some lady stating that she was afraid someone would shoot down a plane with a 50 caliber rifle.

Is everyone this ignorant?

During WWII we used the P-47 Thunderbolt fighter and that plane had 8 AN/M2 machine guns each shooting 800 rpm for a total of 6400 rounds per minute.

Those fighters had to close within a couple hundred yards and hit the planes a few hundred times to take them down.

P-47 = 10,000 lbs - around 300 mph

727 = 100,000 lbs - crusing speed .81 MACH

it's VERY hard to hit a target at 1,000 yards away thats not moving, but now they think you can hit a target thats moving 150+ mph during takeoff and climbing fast (you would have to be a total dipsh*t to think somene could hit a 727 at 30k flying just under the speed of sound with a 50 caliber rifle)

in closing.... if it was possible to shoot down a plane with a 50 caliber, the P-47's of WWII would only have needed to shoot one round and not hundreds just for a small plane under 10,000 lbs.

There is hundreds of videos supporting this, and not one video of an 737 being shot down with a single 50 caliber round.
